Telenetwork is a great company. I have been there a little bit over a year now, I have worked for 4 other companies at home and this is the best job I have had so far. I actually make about $14/h, and I am not stressed at all at my other job, I worked for Plumchoice which contracts to ATT, and made more money but I was stressed as hell. This job allows you to change your schedule and they are very flexible. Most of the team leaders I have had, have been very great. I started making $8/h, they are a few other techs who make more than I do, Level 2 and Level 3 and different skill sets. It is true on an earlier comment about the health insurance being a bit pricey, to add my wife and kid it will cost $900+ a month, so for now we will have to research maybe private insurance. But for all its worth, I can't strike the hand that feeds me, I been able to finally buy a new car for my wife, can pay my bills on time, and gives me time for my personal business that im trying to run. So if your interested in applying, you can't go wrong.

So here is the truth. Ive been working at Telenetworks (TNI) for about 6 years now. Ive seen it all there. Upper managment is competent, but they have no personality. Its definetly dog-eat-dog environment. I work as one of the One Support Technicians which is the top level. Its easier once you make it to that deparment. Its not hard to succeed at TNI, you just have to know your job better than anyone, and control the urge to tell people off ( both employees and customers; the opportunity will come, trust me, lol).

I will say that TNI has allowed me to gain a vast, and comprehensive knowledge of not only Telecommunications, but also customer service. This knowledge has allowed me to work at better call centers, and now work for company (ALU, look it up) that has worldwide presence.

It may take awhile to get there but you have to think about how this company expanded during one of the most significant economic downturns in history. TNI does good business, which means its stable for the employees there. You will not get rich working at TNI. Sorry. But you can survive on TNI

I now work at home as a OST making decent money.
I just used TNI as a springboard to gain what I want. If I can do it, you can do it.

Ok, I posted before. I am the guy saying I was there for 3 weeks. I have now been there for 9 months.

Things have changed a little.

1) I still dont see all the drama people are talking about. The only problem I ever had was when I used a supervisors full name in my notes and he threatened me with bodily harm. It didnt matter much to me because 1, I told MY Boss, Who KICKS ASS. (if you can't tell, I dig my boss alot). My boss gave him a verbal lashing I'm sure, and 2, because I could probably kick his sissy upper management ass. Either way, thats the ONLY drama I have seen happen.

2) I have seen 2 employees fired, and both times they were serious job breaches or customer mistreats.

3) The job is only stressful because Fairpoint Field Techs are stupid as fuck Union Workers, they never fix shit right, FPNE over subscribes lines, never puts in new equipment and takes DAYS if not WEEKS to get anything fixed on the physical side, all while we sit here and get yelled at for their stupidity.

4) On the brighter side, I know make $10/hr and I'll likely be making $11 before my first year is up. I have been one of the top 10 Agents at one of the call centers for all 9 months of my employment. I am looking at being the first to do it for an entire consecutive year.

5) All in all, this job does get stale, it is stressful, and as nice as some of the people in New England are, some of them are still retarded as fuck or mean as fuck. Fortunately for me, I have an uncanny ability to just not give a fuck about the customer if they wanna be a dick, so it just rolls off my back.

Aint nothing wrong with teleNetwork as a whole if you just do your damn job and do it well. Yeah, sometimes they ask ridiculous shit of you, but really, it isnt any worse than any other job, and at this one you get to sit in your own home in your damn underwear if you want.

I worked there back in 1999. It was a great place to work. After a while you outgrown it, like almost every job. But it is a real company serving some of the country's largest telecom organizations—and a great place to learn quite a bit about technology.

hey, i work from home for tni, it's ok with me i make 11 an hour i've been there 2 years. the training materials aren't great and some people have no clue what they're doing but overall its ok. the benefits are ok 2 weeks vacation a year. health, vision, dental offered but over priced. we use my wifes coverage because it was cheaper for her to add me than for me to add myself to tni's plan. which should tell you something. it seems when i got to 11 an hour i just got stuck because they dont promote people to level 2 a whole lot. the most stressful part of the job is being unable to provide good service to customers that call in because the turn around on a ticket if you have to send out a local tech is 3 days and often is not resolved. so we get yelled at by customers because one of the main companies we contract for over subscribes dsl lines, refuses to invest in the equipment and overpays union workers who have no clue how to work on networks. one tech called me and said he didn't really know what he was doing because he's used to telephone only lines.

so there you have it.
its real.
it can be stressful.
you can get raises.
benefits aren't great and if you dont like getting yelled at by customers then this job is definitley not for you.

Anyone who has any experience working at a call center can tell you that it takes a special kind of person to take back-to-back phone calls all for the same variety of problems everyday. Mix in rude people, those who refuse to work with you and the impatient and you have a recipe for disaster IF you are not endlessly patient and attuned to how to handle difficult people and situations. I am in the process of looking at accepting a job with this company. I appreciate the feedback I have received thus far, it was helpful in making my decision.

To be honest I would recommend avoiding this company. When they screw something up they tell you that Texas is a Right to Work state so they do not have to employ you. They also broke FTC regulations regarding the FCRA and are currently going to be sued for this.
